Preston's journey began in Canada, where he was born and raised. With a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, he set his sights on Los Angeles. There, he joined United Talent Agency (UTA), one of the world's leading talent agencies, in its music touring department. Quickly rising through the ranks, Preston became one of the youngest junior agents in UTA's history, representing some of the biggest names in the music industry. This role honed his skills in negotiations, contract writing, and client relations.

Transitioning from representing musical artists, Preston ventured into managing the sales and operations of iconic venues for events, concerts, premieres, and film shoots. Over his 15-year tenure, he worked with an impressive roster of clients, including Madonna, Prince William, Elton John, Coldplay, and Eminem, as well as corporate giants like Spotify, Beats by Dre, the Grammy Foundation, Live Nation, Golden Boy Promotions, Twitch, and AEG.

Preston's passion for design and contracts naturally led him to a decade of buying and selling residential real estate in Los Angeles. In early 2020, he moved to Denver to pursue residential real estate full-time. Drawn by the city's vibrant culture and fantastic lifestyle, and the opportunity to be closer to his family, who have called Denver home since 1999, Preston embraced this new chapter with enthusiasm.
